WUREC has redefined its membership program: a program with defined responsibilities, clear structure and standards, and select opportunities tailored to members with active membership status. To get involved, please complete the WUREC Membership Signup.
WUREC does not require membership dues; however, certain club-related events, such as treks, may require contribution.
Membership Benefits
While the club will continue to offer its events to the broader extracurricular community, the following benefits will be reserved for those who register and fulfill the requirements, as specified in the membership form.
- Increased access to many Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center offerings, including the Ballard Executive Visitor Luncheon Series, the Career Mentor Program, and the Spring and Fall Members' Meetings

All members must attend at least three events per semester to retain membership.
Committees
WUREC recruits every fall and spring via Penn Clubs. WUREC Committee Applications open during the Fall and Spring Semesters and are the best way for students to get involved with the club.
Speakers
The Speakers Committee hosts in-person speaker series and panels designed to expose university students to real estate insights from industry leaders. In the past, we've hosted speakers from Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, and PJT as well as real estate CEOs.
Treks
The Treks Committee organizes small group trips to top real estate firms and property sites throughout the year. Some recent Trek highlights have included NYC, Philadelphia, Dubai and Chicago. Trek applications are open to all members of WUREC.
Careers
The Careers Committee is responsible for liaising with firms interested in recruiting Wharton students and increasing their presence on campus. Duties include facilitating job opportunity communications, organizing info sessions, and maintaining relations with real estate companies.
Internal
The Internal Committee organizes all club social events and manages the WUREC recruiting process. The committee also leads all membership-related activities, including the GBM program, and serves as a liaison to the Zell/Lurie Center.
Investments
The Investments Committee builds on the Institute curriculum with a highly technical, recruiting-focused experience. Members dive into quantitative asset valuation, REITs, capital structures, and case-based financial modeling.
The Institute
The Institute Committee focuses on teaching a holistic curriculum to all WUREC members that covers a broad range of real estate basics, including RE Excel financial modeling and qualitative asset valuation. The Institute is open to all underclassmen.
Communications
The Communications Committee shapes the club's external image: podcast, blogs, listserv, text messages, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
